Kosar, Albert March 4, 1935 – September 6, 2017 aged 82 years.  Albert was born the 4th child to Mike and Katie (nee Nicholichuk) Kosar.  He obtained his formal education at Crooked Hill Creek School.  He married Marion (nee Findlay) on February 27, 1969 in Edmonton, AB and shortly after they moved to the “Empty Pocket Ranch” where he resided most of his life. Throughout his life he wore many hats, working in Alberta in the oil field and power plants, logging and diamond mining in Manitoba, and farming, ranching, livestock hauling in Saskatchewan. Although his greatest joy came from working with scrap metal and his horses.  Many summers were spent following local rodeos supplying the bucking horses and racing big chariots.  The winters were spent breaking horses and providing sleigh rides to visitors.  Auction sales, horse sales, races, rodeos, the farm and his animals are where his heart was.  He was a simple man who saw value in living a simple life.

He loved visiting with friends old and new. Many evenings you would find him with his faithful companion Sam uptown or at the Coop reminiscing with friends or getting help with his cellphone from the youngsters.  He had a unique sense of humor and loved to joke and tease especially with his Lexy. Even though he wasn’t a sports fan he still travelled to watch Logan and Kassie in their sporting events where he would ring his bell with pride louder than anyone else.  “Santa” will be dearly missed by his daughters Shelley, Roxane (Gerry) and grandchildren Kassie, Logan and Alexa siblings Adam (Shirley) and Elizabeth Pura, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents, wife Marion, children Wendy, Shannon, Jason and brothers Henry and Mike.
