ZBEETNOFF, Fay (nee Woiken) April 21, 1932 – January 10, 2018, entered into rest at the Kamsack and District Nursing Home, at the age of 85 years.

  Fay was born on the family farm north of Mikado, SK.  She attended school at Spruce Grove School north of Mikado.  One day she met the love of her life at a dance at Pretty View Hall.  The courtship was only six months.  Her and Bill were united in marriage on November 9, 1952 at Fay’s family farm.  Fay and Bill then moved to the farm by Norquay, Sk., they were blessed with two children; Larry was born in 1955, and Laurie in 1958. Fay had many hobbies; baking, quilting, sewing and gardening.  Most of all she loved to feed her family.  Her door was always open for everyone and you never left the table hungry.  She was the “Best” Perashkee maker ever.  Mom worked in a café in the summer of 1951 and part of 1952 but later found employment at Eaglestone Lodge for 25 years and retired at the age of 65 years.  She belonged to the Nursing Home Auxiliary for 36 years and the Kamsack Doukhobor Prayer Home for 26 years.

   Fay is predeceased by her parents; Mike and Alice, brother Mike and sister Polly. 

   She is survived by her loving husband, Bill of 65 years, son Larry (Dianne) and daughter Laurie (Mike) grandchildren; Terri Labelle and Leeanne (Martin) Hoehn, great grandchildren; Hayley, Ethan, Holden, Marlee, Arya and Dash.

   Mom was diagnosed with cancer in 2008 and won her battle in 2010 after treatments.  Her cancer returned in 2016 she fought her battle until January 10, 2018, when she entered into eternal rest.

    Funeral Service was held January 13, 2018 from the Chapel of Wolkowski Funeral Service, with Mrs. Cecil Cazakoff officiating. Fay was laid to rest at the Riverview Cemetery.
