Fred Bugera

BUGERA, Fred Michael June 21, 1928 to August 13, 2017 aged 89 years old.  It is with great sadness that we announce his passing. Fred was born in Arran, SK. on June 21, 1928 to Metro and Nellie Bugera.

Fred attended school in Arran till grade 8. In 1951, Fred left to work in Ocean Falls, BC. He received a telegram that his Father was injured in a horse accident so he returned home to help with the family farm. He continued working on the farm for the summer months and would go to British Columbia logging with his brother, Don for the winter months. Fred's parents moved to BC and Fred bought the farm from them. He continued to operate the farm right up until his passing. In 1978, Fred met the love of his Life Georgina and together they bought a home in Pelly, SK. Fred had a passion for the outdoors, and loved to hunt, fish and work the farm.

He always grew a huge garden, even at the age of 89; he worked hard at his garden.

Fred was predeceased by his wife Georgina in 2015, father Metro 1985, Mother Nellie in 1993, brothers Orest in 1932, Percy in 1989, Don in 2008, John in 2014, and his sister Ramona in 2016, and sister in law Carol in 2017.

Fred will be dearly missed by his numerous nieces and nephews, Aunt Minnie and family members, and all his dear friends. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. from Pelly Community Hall, Pelly, SK with Velda Dahlin officiating.  Interment to follow at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery – South of Arran Sk.  Memorial donations may be made in Fred’s name to the Pelly Community Hall.
