PROKOPETZ, Gladys Mary (nee Raddysh) born July 20, 1931 – March 31, 2018 aged 86 years.
Gladys passed peacefully away at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon with family at her side. Gladys was born in the Yorkton District and grew up in the Kamsack area. In 1956, she married George and they farmed for many years near Verigin.
They moved to Kamsack in 1967, then to Calgary in 1987, and she moved to Saskatoon in 2017. Gladys led a busy life! In Kamsack, she worked in the hospital, took care of a large garden, participated in various activities with her children and enjoyed the company of many good friends. In Calgary, her life focused on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended many soccer games, school functions and volunteered at school. She was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed bowling and watching hockey and curling on TV.
She was predeceased by her husband George in 2006. She is survived by her children Donna (Keith), Donald (Marta), Graham (Lori), Gail (Blake), and Greg (Cindy), grandchildren Laurel, Meghan, Georges, Ryan, Brooklynn and Scot, great grandchildren Olivia, Mila and Cash and her brothers Bob (Minnie) and Don (Gail).
Prayers service will be held Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 7:00 PM and the Funeral service will be held Monday, April 9, 2018 at 10:30 AM, both at the Chapel of Wolkowski Funeral Service, Kamsack., SK with Rev. Fr. Michael Faryna officiating. Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery Kamsack, SK. Memorial donations can be made in Memory of Gladys to the All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Kamsack, Sk.
