   Jones, John was born Feb 5th, 1934 in Waltham Abbey, Essex County, England where he lived until Immigrating to Canada in 1967. Potter John’s life had many chapters but the last chapter of his life in Kamsack, Saskatchewan was extra special. He was so embraced by the amazing community of Kamsack and his spiritual journey was fulfilled. Some of John’s many adventures in life included working on his family gravel pits and farm, having his own dairy farm in England, being a top salesperson for AB Dick in England which brought him to Canada. In 1967, John decided to take up pottery and secured a contract with Bick’s Pickles to supply special pottery jars for Expo ’67. John was also commissioned to make a dinner ware set for Pierre Trudeau’s wedding. At one time he shipped pottery across Canada and into the US. John was also a pig farmer in Vernon, BC. John will be missed his surviving family; Tim (Karen) Jones, Caroline (Gary) Bank, Sarah (Marc) Marchand, Vanessa (Jim) Ondzik, plus his 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren on the way, and his brother David and by many friends and acquaintances. John was predeceased by his wife Dawn, daughter Julie, and brothers Andrew and Peter.

   The adventures were many, the laughs and positive attitude unstoppable. John is now with his savior.

   Funeral Service was held August 27, 2016 from the Parkland Evangelical Free Church, with Pastor Stephan Ruten Officiating. Interment followed at Riverview Cemetery – Kamsack.
