RHODA MAXINE RANSON was born on October 4, 1921, to Ernest Walter Jones and Ethel Lillian Jones (nee Cave) of Riceton, Saskatchewan, Rhoda passed into the arms of the Lord on October 7, 2015, three days after celebrating her 94th birthday.  

   Married to Henry David Ranson of Yellow Grass, SK., in May 1942, they were blessed with two children – son, David Larry, April 1946, and daughter, Bonnie Kay, October 1950.            Rhoda devoted herself to family, music, travel and hockey as well as managing her own cosmetic and clothing company for many years.  She lived in Yellow Grass, Oxbow and Regina, SK as well as Vancouver Island and Kamloops, BC before she joined her family in Canora, SK., and became a resident of Kamsack Nursing Home in 2014. 

   She was predeceased by her husband Hank in January 1978, her only grandson, Darren Clifford Howells in May 1998, and her daughter, Bonnie Howells in February, 2013. 

   Rhoda is survived by her youngest brother, Ira Bruce Jones of Riceton, and her son, David Ranson of Canora, SK as well as many nieces and nephews throughout Canada. 

   A private interment was held beside her husband, daughter, and grandson in the family plot at Yellow Grass Memorial Cemetery at Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan. At her request, flowers are respectfully declined in favour of a donation to the Saskatchewan Alzheimer’s Society.
