Ethel Kalanchey

Ethel Florence Kalanchey born Sept.30 1950 – Aug.28 2019 aged 68 years
     It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving wife, mother and grandmother, Ethel Kalanchey.
She passed away suddenly in her husband’s arms. Eugene and Ethel were married on October 11, 1969 at Ukraninian Orthodox Church in Arran, Saskatchewan.  They moved to Winnipeg where they were blessed with three daughters; Christine, Debbie and Susan. In 1977, they moved to the farm near Arran to raise their family.
     Ethel loved working on the farm with her husband. Working on the farm and raising their daughters gave her great joy. She loved animals especially her dog Kip who lived with them for 14 years until his passing. She enjoyed reading, gardening, flowers, picking berries, making jams, canning and cooking for her family.
    Ethel will be sadly missed by her family: her husband of 49 years Eugene Kalanchey; daughters Christine (Darryl) Michayluk, Debbie (Quinn) Zander, Susan (Vern) Nedilenka; grandchildren Chloe, Tyra, Jenna, Blaize and Isaac; sisters Lila (Richard) Yagelnesky, Marion Graham and Bonnie Gognon.
She is predeceased by her parents; Evelyn and Ingvar Gustavson sisters; Shirley Currie and Eileen Vanin.
You left us too soon, we will miss you forever, you live in our hearts.
