December 24, 1948 ~ February 22, 2018 (age 69) 69 Years Old

Karen Luke Obituary

LUKE, Karen Tilly (nee Keller), born December 24th, 1948 to February 22, 2018 aged 69 years.

Karen Luke was born in Trail, British Columbia.  She went to high school in Kamsack, SK.  At various times, Karen lived in Caronport B.C., Winnipeg, MB., Yorkton, SK., and moved back to Kamsack, where she spent the remainder of her days.

Karen spent the majority of her working years as at various receptionist and secretary positions.  She attended various adult education courses, and completed her GED.  She eventually settled down in Kamsack once her working days were behind her.

Karen is survived by her sisters; Judy Lowes (nee Haljeski) of Brooks, AB., Kathy Megenbir (Nee Haljeski), of Saskatoon, SK., and her brother Joseph Haljeski.  She is also survived by her son Sean Luke and his wife Lyndsey of Regina SK. and their children, Vincent and Connor.

Karen touched many lives during her time with us, and those who knew her were better for it.  Her life was a struggle, but she worked through her struggles, raising a family on her own, remaining generous, compassionate and caring.  She had an intense love for her family, God, and several cats over the years, but never lost sight of what was most important in life, to remain strong in the face of adversity, and not to let one's struggles override one's better nature.  There is a large hole in the lives of people who knew her, but we should celebrate her life, and know she is now at rest, and in a better place.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. To leave a note of condolence for the family please visit Wolkowski.ca.
