Valarie Musqua Obituary

Valerie Lavonne Musqua, (Green Thunderbird Woman) was born to Felix and Earlene Musqua (Cote) on May 28, 1968. She was raised among her loving family on Keeseekoose First Nation and spent much of her adult years living and working between Yorkton and Saskatoon where she met her many friends and colleagues. Valerie was loved by many people and made friendships wherever she went. She loved animals and she lived a life full of stories that will forever keep her memory alive in our hearts and minds.     She was a long serving and loyal employee of the Painted Hand Casino, she loved her friends and family and was a fierce protector of them.

Left to remember her here is her loving Mother, Earlene, Grandmother, Clarice Brass, sisters, Heather (her baby), Delores (Kelly Kidd, nieces Tanisha and Maggie). Her adopted sister, Michelle Cadotte, adopted brothers, Dwayne (Shawna) Cote, Dennis (Elizabeth) Wapash, Ted (Gladys) Quewezance and her beloved dogs, Charlie, Boo and Benny. Also, her many cousins, (Laurine Q “Dolly” Darlene Straightnose) aunts and uncles, her many dear nieces (Jolene, Teth, Jade, Aura, Tyra, Nicole, Marj), many nephews (Cole) and grands. All who loved her dearly.

On October 23rd, 2018 she left on her journey to be with her aunts, uncles, and cousins who have gone home ahead of her. Her grandparents Roy and Nellie Musqua (Brass), Margaret and Donald Cote (Soloman), brother Gary Musqua, adopted brother Christopher Cadotte and her beloved father Felix Musqua.  She has left a lot of love here, she will always live on in our memories, our stories, and our hearts.
