Strezeboroda, Victor - September 15, 1930 - November 3, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother and uncle, while living at the Kamsack Nursing Home, at the age of 88.  Victor was raised on a farm south of Veregin, later moving to a second location two miles west, where he eventually carried on with the family farm.  He spent his early adult years travelling between Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario working various jobs including, logging, trapping and working at department stores in Ontario.  He returned to the Veregin area to grain farm, raise cattle and continue to trap.  Victor had a passion for collecting coins and stamps, cheering on the Roughriders and telling stories.  Victor was a very active member and supporter of Ukrainian Orthodox churches attending and volunteering at All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Kamsack and St. Michael’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church south of Veregin.  Victor moved to the Eaglestone Personal Care Home in April 2016, then later to the Kamsack and District Nursing Home earlier this year, in 2018. 

Victor is survived by his caring sister Mary Perepelkin and his treasured nephews and niece; Randy (Gail) great nieces Rhea, Gina and Tara, Stephen, Darren and Cindy (Brian) Kistner

Victor is predeceased by his parents, Kalyna and John, step-father John Manziuk and brother in law Nick Perepelkin.

Funeral Service was held Saturday, November 10, 2018 from All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Kamsack with Rev. Fr. Michael Faryna officiating. Interment followed at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, south of Veregin.  Memorial donations in memory of Victor, may be made to St. Michael’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery Fund as gifts of remembrance.

The family would like to thank Kamsack health care providers including, Home Care, Kamsack Hospital, Eaglestone Personal Care Home, Kamsack and District Nursing Home and Dr. M. Davies for their attentive care and compassion for Victor over the years.
