Albert Rose Obituary

Albert Rose passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026 at the age of 86, surrounded by his loving family.  Albert was the third of six children born to Robert and Elizabeth (Sterzer) Rose. He was raised on the family farm near Pelly, Saskatchewan, where he developed a strong work ethic and deep-rooted values that guided him throughout his life. On November 5, 1960, Albert married the love of his life, Jean Bobick. Together they built their life in Kamsack, where they lived throughout their 65 year marriage and where Albert remained until his passing. Albert and Jean were blessed with two children, daughter Bonnie and son Bradley. He was a proud grandfather to his two grandchildren Chas and Cara. They brought him immense joy and he was eager to welcome his first great-grandchild later in January 2026. In earlier years, Albert devoted countless hours at the skating rink, coaching his son’s hockey teams and rising early to ensure the rink was opened for his daughter’s figure skating. Albert owned and operated his own taxi service and drove school bus for over 26 years. He was instrumental in forming the bus drivers’ union in the Kamsack School District, serving as its president and actively participating in negotiations, advocating for his fellow drivers and the community he cared deeply about. Albert loved being on the farm, enjoying the peace of the outdoors. He had a lifelong passion for horses and spent many years raising, training, and racing thoroughbreds. Other interests included golfing, playing cards, and country music, with numerous trips to Craven and Nashville. He also enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and the Dominican Republic.

Albert was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Clarence and Don Rose; and his sisters, Marjorie Adams and Shirley Hay.

Albert is survived by his beloved wife Jean; daughter Bonnie (Clifford) Boulding; son Bradley Rose; grandson Chas (Taylor) Boulding; granddaughter Cara (Robbie) Boulding great grandson Sebastian; sister Joyce Green; sisters-in-law Helen Rose and Verna Rose; brother-in-law Ernie Adams; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Albert will be remembered for his devotion to family, his generosity with his time, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew him.
