Alvin Walter Musqua (Gargy) was born on June 15, 1985 in Kamsack, Sk., to parents Geraldine Musqua and Marty Kishanew. Alvin was raised by his grandparents Jerry and Seraphine Straightnose on Keeseekoose First Nation where he attended school. Through the years Gargy worked along side his grandparents and siblings hauling water and garbage sanitation, racing horses and following traditional ceremonies. The family proudest moments is when Alvin started assisting his grandfather riding the horse and singing around the rain dance lodge. Alvin also enjoyed jigging without being taught or shown. He also enjoyed serving as a Alter boy at the St. Philips Church where he was baptised and received his first communion. He moved to Regina, in 2017, and resided there till his passing.
