Van Parys, Arlene April 10, 1935 – April 17, 2022 passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital at the age of 87 years.
Arlene was born to Fred and Dorothy Kobitz (nee Witherspoon) of the Yorkton District. She also had 3 siblings.
On June 21, 1958 she was united in marriage to Ed Van Parys, also from the Yorkton District. Shortly thereafter, they purchased some land and built their home in the Seradaville District, just west of Yorkton. Arlene worked for Scott Fruits for a number of years, till their son Edward was born on April 17, 1963. In 1967, they purchased the Esso Bulk Fuel dealership in Kamsack and the family moved to Kamsack, that same year. She maintained a home and also worked alongside husband Ed for 25 years, until they retired in 1992. They then purchased a cabin at Madge Lake and spent their summers there. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. Arlene moved to Eaglestone Lodge in Kamsack on, December 2019 and then moved to the Kamsack and District Nursing Home in March of 2022. She entered the Regina General Hospital on April 9 and passed away peacefully April 17, 2022.
Arlene leaves to cherish her memory, her only son Edward (Loretta), Loretta’s children Jason (Karen) Kiya, Kaydence, Rayne, Colten, and Tracy and Jackson, sister Elva (Ernie Kostersky), brother, Harley Kobitz and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, Fred and Dorothy, husband Ed in 2011 and by one brother Alvin Kobitz.
