Chandon Kakakaway Obituary

Chandon was born to John & Edna Kakakaway (nee Mintuck) in Kamsack and was raised, and later lived on Keeseekoose, until recently relocating to Saskatoon in 2019. Chandon was highly skilled in various trades and worked very hard in construction, iron work, concrete forming, mechanical insulation, welding, roofing and restoration throughout AB and SK. Chandon held a security guard certificate along with safety construction orientation training, first-aid/CPR, W.H.M.I.S. and fall Protection Certification. Chandon enjoyed all sports and often chaperoned kids and youth. He was also a member of St. Phillips R.C., and St. Patrick's R.C. in Saskatoon. For many of those who knew Chandon, knew that he was respectful, compassionate, humble, forgiving of others, never put anyone down, had a great sense of humour, was sincere and cared so much for others. He was also very handsome and charming. In April 2000, Edna and Chandon travelled to Europe for 10 days to Medjugorje. Chandon really enjoyed it. It awakened him to become a spiritually better person. Some of Chandon's favourite music was Bad Guy by Billie Gilish & Losing My Religion by R.E.M. His favourite artist was Bob Marley. His biggest passion and enjoyment was travel, family and friends. Chandon was very inquisitive, loved animals and the outdoors. He loved his children and family very much, he made the best grilled cheese sandwich. Chandon lost his dad in 2001 and missed him dearly. Chandon will be greatly missed by all those that loved him and asks for forgiveness for any hurt he may have caused. Chandon left peacefully and with a smile on his face.
Chandon is survived by his loving partner, Kimberly, mother Edna, children; Nachron, Koriona, Amber, Adrianna, Annalee, siblings; Denale, Shawn, LaVern (Terry), Bradley (Melissa), Twyla, Donna and special grandchildren; baby John, Ethan & Alydia. He is predeceased by father John Kakakaway Sr., brothers John Jr., Ashley and Michael, grandparents Edwin & Tereasa Kakakaway and William John & Georgina Mintuck and by special cousin "lil Dave".
