A Life of Service and Achievement
Cindy Lou Tourangeau, a devoted mother, grandmother, and a part of her community, passed away leaving behind a legacy of resilience and intellectual grace. Born on April 10, 1966, in Kamsack, Saskatchewan, Cindy dedicated her life to her family and the upliftment of her people.
A woman of significant academic merit, Cindy successfully earned her high school diploma and pursued advanced studies at the university level. Her professional versatility was marked by her certifications in Business Administration and as a Nurse Aid. Those who knew her were well-aware of her love of English Language Arts, a skill she utilized through her work. Cindy was a familiar and vital presence at the Cote Band Office and the Cote Market, where she showed her support for the Cote First Nation.
Faith and Family
Cindy’s life was anchored by her unwavering faith in the Lord. Her spirit found peace in the melody of her favorite song, "Send Your Best Angel". Cindy’s most cherished milestones were the births of her children and the subsequent blessing of her grandchildren. To Cindy, her family was her greatest blessing.
Family and Lineage
Predeceased by: Cindy is reunited in peace with her beloved husband, Daniel Tourangeau; her father, Wally Severight; her mother, Annabelle Whitehawk; her brother, Robert Whitehawk Jr.; and her granddaughter, Kaydence.
Surviving Family: She leaves behind her children Loretta (Andy Crane) and Lawrence (Sheila), sisters: Wanda, Cheryl, Rite, Lillan, and Valerie; and her brother, Earl (Chopper). Her memory will be carried forward by her best friend, Loretta Fiddler, and her numerous "best buddies."
Grandchildren: Teayonna, Alexandra, De Sean, Trevor, Darius, Andy Crane Jr., Avander Crane, Darcy Jo, and Aloriunna Cindara.
Great-Grandchildren: Elena and Princeton Mintuck.
