Dale William Schwartz

SCHWARTZ – Dale William born May 27, 1948 – June 18, 2024 aged 76 years

              With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Dale William Schwartz, a long time, staple resident of the Runnymede District, at the age of 76 years. He departed this earth peacefully on June 18, 2024, near his home quarter doing what he loved, working his cattle. Dale was born on May 27, 1948, in Kamsack, to Wilhelm (Willie) and Emma Schwartz (nee Mohinger).  Dale, along with his parents; Willie and Emma, lived his first few years in Rhein.  The Schwartz Family, along with Dale, and his six siblings moved to Runnymede. Dale played the role of big brother, as he was the oldest of seven children. Dale met and later married, a beautiful lady, by the name of Carlotta Syroteuk on November 1, 1971. In December of 1974, they built their forever home, up on the hill near Runnymede. This is where Dale and Carlotta raised their family and Dale continued his passion of grain farming and raising cattle. Dale began farming at a young age with his father and brothers. Eventually, Dale farmed with his son, Christopher, and built the farm we see today. In addition to farming and raising cattle, Dale proudly served as a councillor for the RM of Cote #271 for 45 years. 
Dale’s sense of humor and good-natured personality, left a lasting impression on the many, many people he met over the years. He always made time for people he cared about and his and Carlotta's home was always open for a visit. Dale genuinely loved his large family, cherished and valued his friends and most importantly he gave what he could. 
Dale loved sports. In his prime, he played ball on local teams, hockey, and curling. After retiring from playing, Dale continued his love of sport through coaching. He coached Chris from the beginning, Mighty Mights to senior hockey.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 52 and a 1/2 years; Carlotta, son; Christopher (Joanne), daughters; Jennifer and Erin (James), all of his most favorite grandchildren; Anastasia, Jack, Hariklea, Tucker, and Hudson, sisters; Cindy (Dennis) Lazaroff of Kelowna, Jackie (Lyle) Ogren of Regina bothers; Allen of Runnymede, Darren (Lucinda) of Runnymede and by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Dale was predeceased by his parents Wilhelm (Willie) and Emma Schwartz, sister Patsy Malakoff, brother Ricky Schwartz, niece Mandi Schwartz.

                Funeral Service was be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Westminster Memorial Church, Kamsack, SK. With Randy King Officiating.  A final drive through the valley and burial took place at Runnymede Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Dale may be made to Runnymede Cemetery Fund.
