Derek was born to Frances Keshane and Milton Quewezance. When Derek was born, it was said by Aunty Wapi that he looked like Mr. Magoo so that's where he got his nickname "Magoo" from. Derek had a heart of gold and the spirit of a warrior he would give the shirt off his back if it was all he had to give to help a person out even if it meant he himself would be left with nothing, he always looked after those he loved especially his nieces and nephews and made sure they had what they needed.
