Dora Bazansky Obituary

BAZANSKY, Dora Born April 22, 1929 – May 26, 2024 aged 95 years.

                Dora was born in the R.M. of Clayton to parents Onufrey and Katie (nee Surcon) Oneschuk. She married Peter Bazansky together they shared 63 years of marriage and were blessed with two sons.  Dora helped in the family business serving the farmers in the area with their fuel and oil needs along with the vehicle and license insurance issuing.  She was the boys taxi driver for all of their sports they were involved in hockey, baseball, golf and the activities around Crystal Lake.

                Mom was predeceased by her husband Peter in 2013, her parents Onufrey and Katie, two brothers in infancy, brothers Nick and Eugene, Sisters Mary Kozmaniuk and Elsie Lewchuk and brother-in-law Mike Kozmaniuk.

                She is survived by her sons Lyle (Karin) and Ken and his daughters Nicole (Matt) and Lauren (Scott), great granddaughters Madison and Hailey, great grandsons Liam and Bennett.  Her younger sister Ann (Morris) Hay, brother-in-law Orest Lewchuk and sister-in-law Florance Bazansky, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

                Mom’s religious beliefs and faith were always in her thoughts and ways as one of her wall plaques stated: “By grace are ye saved through faith, that not of yourselves; It is the gift of God”.

Graveside service was held on June 3, 2024 from Stoney Creek Cemetery, Stenen District.  Donations in memory of Dora may be made to Saskatchewan Alzheimer Society.  To leave a note of condolence for the family please visit wolkowski.ca
