Garnet Chester Olson, born March 29, 1950, in the Town of Kamsack, Saskatchewan, passed away on March 31, 2025 at the age of 75. At the time of his passing, Chester resided at Madge Lake, but his heart & spirit were forever rooted in the community he cherished.
Throughout his life, Chester was known for his entrepreneurial spirit, having helmed numerous business ventures in Kamsack over a span of 50 years. His dedication to his work was only rivaled by his commitment to his community.
Chester was a dedicated member of the Elks, Kamsack Legion No. 24, Right Worshipful Master Mason, Royal Arch Mason, Shriner & Nights Templer.
He is predeceased in death by brother Stan Olson & sister Maureen Kosmenko. As well as his mother & father, Archie & Edna Olson.
He is survived by his wife Gladys, son Shannon, daughters Corinne (Brent) Lemire, Chelsey (Chad) Hockley, son-in-law James Ruf, brother Gaylord (Sandra) Olson & his grand daughters Teagan (Riley), Taylin & Black Doggy. Chester is also survived by many extended family members and friends too numerous to mention, but hold a special place in his heart.
Chester’s memory will live on through his family, whose lives have been enriched by his unwavering love & support.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11 am at the Westminster Memorial United Church in Kamsack.
