May 5, 1947 – December 17, 2025
Harvey Robert Martyniuk, 78, of Veregin, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025.
Harvey was born in Runnymede, Saskatchewan, to Ruth Leis and Bohdan Martyniuk. He lived life with strength and enthusiasm, greeting each day with energy, curiosity, and a deep belief that anything could be accomplished with hard work. A skilled builder and lifelong residential construction professional, Harvey took great pride in his work and never shied away from a challenge—no job was ever too big in his eyes.
Harvey loved being outdoors and embraced adventure whenever he could. In his younger years, he found joy in downhill skiing and waterskiing, and he delighted in sharing those passions with his children and grandchildren. As the years passed, his determination to stay active never faded. Summers were spent rollerblading and biking, while winters meant skating on the rink he proudly built in his own yard.
Above all else, Harvey cherished his role as a devoted husband, father, and steady provider for his family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Marcelin; his children Jennifer, Tami (Sheldon), Curt (Julie), Carol, Andrea (Rob), and Nancy (Richard); his sisters Bev (Harley) and Jane; his half-brother Greg Leis; and his many nieces, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought him great pride and joy. He was predeceased by his sister Marge.
In keeping with Harvey’s wishes, the family will hold a private celebration of his life.
Harvey’s legacy is one of hard work, adventure, and love. He built more than homes—he built a family grounded in strength, creativity, and care. His energy, generosity, and enduring spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
