Helen Cote Quewezance also known as "Woman who Walks Two Roads". Helen lead a life that enriched her with many different roles, Elder, national and international teacher, researcher and field expert, guest lecturer, ceremonial rain dancer, band member, Aboriginal human services officer and publisher of four books .
Helen has obtained her BA in Sociology in 1991, double honors Certification in Sociology and Native Studies in 1997, obtained her Master of Arts in 2001 and PhD in Environmental Studies and Geography in 2012. She has work with young and old through out her career and volunteered numerous hours in her community.
Helen is survived her children Holly (David) Campbell, Darren (Sami), Danielle and Fredrick and her siblings Bobbie and Kim and numerous grandchildren, aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Helen is predeceased by her parents, Fred W. Cote and Helen Severight her son Orville and siblings Ben, Boris and Marceline.
