Jeannette Robson Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Jeannette Robson on February 10, 2026, at the age of 89 years.

Born on June 12, 1936, in St. Philips, Saskatchewan, to Joe and Josephine (Meier) Seitz, Jeannette grew up with a strong work ethic and deep community roots.  She attended St. Basilion School and, after completing her education, began her working life in Yorkton at the Metropolitan Store, followed by a role at the Yorkton Co-op grocery store. On November 10, 1962, she married the love of her life, Barry Robson.  In the spring of 1963, the couple moved to the Robson family farm near Pelly, where they built a life together through mixed farming and nurturing their growing family. Jeannette was a dedicated contributor to her community.  She worked at the Pelly Library and later as a caregiver with Home Care, retiring in 2001, after years of compassionate service.  She remained actively involved in Pelly’s organizations for as long as her health allowed and was a devoted member of the United Church in Pelly, where her faith and kindness touched many. Jeannette and Barry were blessed with two sons, Darrell and Derrick.  She took immense pride and joy in her family.

Jeannette is lovingly survived by: her two son Darrell and his Wife Glenda, their children Jenna (Warren) Darrelyn (Mitchelle) and Darica of Buffalo Narrows, and her great-grandchildren, Geanne, Meyah, Aubree, and Kendall, Derrick and his wife Tammy, their children Blake, Daniel and Niomy.  Great-grandchildren, Octavia, Elie and Misha, brother, Lorne (Phyllis) and many extended family members and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Barry Robson; her parents Joe and Josephine Seiz; brother Clarence Seitz, in-laws William and Irena Robson; sister- in-law Ruth (Larry) Henderson; sister-in-law Vivian Curry;  brother -in-law Jimmy Robson; grandson Mathew.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, Jeannette’s legacy of quiet strength, generosity, hard work, and unwavering devotion to family and community will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.  She embodied the spirit of rural Saskatchewan – resilient, kind, and always ready to lend a hand.
