John MacLise

MacLise: John May 21, 1936 – November 9, 2023

It is with sadness we announce that John MacLise passed away the night of November 9, 2023 at the Norquay Nursing Home. He was 87 years of age.
John was born on May 21, 1936. He lived on his farm near Pelly, Saskatchewan all his life. John was a caring and nurturing son, brother, uncle, great uncle, cousin. He farmed near Pelly, SK all his adult life. He was very protective of his father, mother and siblings and their children.  He loved the outdoors, his farm, his cattle, horses, cats and dogs.
He was a great farmer and had some very good farm land and grew excellent crops. He loved politics and debated of any number of subject and had a conservative/traditional sense of life and society. John was an excellent mechanic and kept his farm machinery in excellent condition. He was a good neighbour and was willing to help.
John is survived by his siblings, Elaine, Lorraine, William, Roberta, Joan, Bevelyn, Larry, Thoreen and Sharon; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, mother and a younger brother, James.

Funeral Service was held November 16, 2023 from the Chapel of Wolkowski Funeral Service, Kamsack, SK with Father Joseph Kuruville officiating.  Interment followed at St. Philip's Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Philip, Sk.  Donation in memory of John maya be made to Pelly Happy Heart's Center or Norquay Health Centre.  To leave a note of condolence for the family please visit wolkowski.ca
