Lavern (Edward, Ed) L King

KING, Lavern Edward (Ed) , August 18, 1943-August 24, 2023, aged 80 years.

Cancer, its truly a terrible disease and it seems that the stronger you are, the harder the toll. Ed was very strong (and stubborn), and he was as determined to beat the odds as any human could be. Ed did beat the odds, for a long time. Sadly on Thursday, August 24 his struggle was lost. Ed passed away due to lung cancer at the Kamsack Hospital. He will be remembered by many for his willingness to help whenever needed, and for his many stories. He will be remembered also for his brave struggle with his illness. We will, as we hope that you who knew him will, focus on his strength, his helpfulness, and his humour. We believe he would want it that way. Ed is pre deceased by his loving wife Louise. He is survived and remembered by his son Don (Coleen), grandsons Kyle and Mathew, daughter Treena (Peter) and granddaughter Aurora, his brother Calvin (Carmelita).

In keeping with Mr. King wishes, cremation will take place.  Funeral arrangements will be announce when available. Donations in memory of Mr. Edward King may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
