Linda MacDonald Obituary

MACDONALD, Linda Jo-Anne born December 13, 1948 – October 30, 2021 aged 72 years.
With deepest sadness and grief, we announce the sudden passing at home of our beloved wife and Mom.  Linda was a devoted caregiver and friend to many in the Togo community since returning to her hometown in 2002. She served one term on the village council and served thousands of meals at Two Friends Cafe in the rink. She brought her enthusiastic community spirit to her role on the 100th Anniversary Togo Reunion Committee in 2006. Linda enjoyed the company of her co-workers at In Good Taste, where she worked right up to her last week.

Linda loved working with the public and was loved back by the many people she touched with her cheerful warmth. She worked at the Sandman Inn in Prince George, B.C. in the cafe and on the front desk in the late 80s and then at Tim Hortons in London (Oxford and Talbot) up to the mid-90s, eventually becoming a manager supervising 35 staff. She upgraded her training at Nokee Kwe Education Centre and later served on Nokee Kwe’s volunteer Board of Directors. Linda was a beloved friendly face on the front desk at the downtown London Y from 1995 to 2002.

Dearly loved and missed by her husband of 34 years Bob Colluney of Togo, SK, and her daughter Colleen MacDonald (Dan McCutcheon) of London, ON.

Pre-deceased by her father Gordon Thompson, brother Hayward Thompson, mother Enid McKay, brother Stan McKay and brother-in-law Norm Stoller

Survived by her sister Mayvis Stoller of Togo, SK, former husband John MacDonald (Margaret Penesi) of Sarnia, ON, brothers-in-law Terry Colluney (Dorothy) and Richard Colluney (Bianca) of Calgary, AB.

A passionate animal lover and rescuer of stray cats, Linda is also missed by her girl Maggie. Donations can be made to Paws and Claws Animal Rescue – Yorkton.

In keeping with Linda’s wishes a family interment will be held at a later date at Woodland Cemetery in London, Ontario.  To leave a note of condolence for the family please visit Wolkowski.ca.
