Luba was born in Kamsack on March 29, 1939 to parents Alex and Annie Rezansoff, she was the 4th oldest and first daughter of six children. She grew up on the family farm in Cote and attended Silver Creek School. After finishing school she babysat to save money before venturing off to Winnipeg at the age of 18. There she met her sweet heart, Peter. Three months later they were wed in October of 1961. In 1973, they decided to move back to Cote to raise their growing family. Luba found herself getting her hands dirty, they farmed land, had cows, chickens and a huge garden. As her children got older she decided a little extra money would be nice, she babysat for a few years later taking on a job at Toro’s Restaurant where she worked for ten years. In 1984, they built a house in Kamsack and left farming behind. Being empty nesters they moved to Winnipeg in 1988, then Okotoks in 1994 where her life took a turn, in 1988 her husband and best friend passed away. After Peters passing Luba moved a few times trying to find “home” eventually finding home in Kamsack.
Her loves were her husband, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild. She enjoyed visits from her family and friends, and rummy. Luba was a strong willed, hard working woman who showed her love by spending time with her loved ones and delicious homemade food on the table.
Luba is survived by her three children Jeff (Karen), Gerald (Marilyn), Donna (Andre) grandchildren Christeena (Randy), John (Tarrah), Jesse (Sara), Nathan (Tate), Josh, Carlee (Malcolm), Tyson, great grandchildren Demi, Hailey, Dylan, Skylar, Kaleb, Kaylee, Jaycee,& Marlee, Aila and one more to arrive in September, great great grandchild Donald, brothers Walter, Alex (Ella).
She Is predeceased by her husband Peter, parents Alex and Annie Rezansoff, two brothers Harold (Sofie) and Lawrence, sister Maryann (George) and sister-in-law Olga.
