Lyndon Cote Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of
Lyndon Jonas Cote, Taa Taa Chuckanost Kiniw,
 “Spotted Eagle Man.”
Lyndon was born on March 23, 1991, in Kamsack, Saskatchewan. He was the middle child and third son of Bryant and Janice Cote (Ball). Raised on Keeseekoose First Nation, Lyndon received his education at Fort Livingstone School in Pelly, where he graduated.,
Lyndon was a kind-hearted and caring man, known for his infectious laughter and gentle spirit. He loved spending time with his family, especially his three beautiful children. He welcomed his first daughter in November 2011, his son in October 2014, and his youngest daughter in February 2018. Fatherhood was one  of Lyndon’s greatest joys.
Lyndon worked for CPKC and continued his employment with CP Rail until his untimely passing on May 22, 2025,  in a single-vehicle accident.
He is predeceased by his uncle Chris, grandfather Charlie,
aunties Marina and Sara, and cousins Skyler and John.
Lyndon leaves behind cherished memories for his children, Ariez, Onyx, and Zayda; his grandmother Dorothy; his parents Bryant and Janice; his brothers Larkin (Lorianne) and Ryan (Kristy); his adopted brother Jeff; his sisters Jillian; Britin (Anthony); and his nieces and nephews: Liam, Rhys, Kayn, Marcus, Kendrick, Albus, Rylee, and Kaylee. He will also be deeply missed by many uncles, aunties, cousins, and countless friends.
Lyndon was passionate, creative, and thoughtful. He had a unique outlook on life and was known for thinking outside the box. He loved music—both listening and playing—and found joy in attending concerts and surrounding himself with loved ones. Whether crawling on the ground with his children, nieces, or nephews, or sharing a laugh with friends,
Lyndon never hesitated to be fully present.
He was devoted to being both a father and an uncle,
 roles he embraced wholeheartedly.
With a sharp sense of humor and a knack for making others laugh—sometimes without even trying—
Lyndon brought light and laughter wherever he went.
