Mary Ann was born to parents Harry and Pauline Glute (Gulak), she moved to Yorkton with her mom and siblings in 1963 after her dad passed away. Mary Ann attended St. Mary’s School in Yorkton from grade 1 – 5. That July her mom passed away and her loving sister Lucille and brother-in-law, Art, took her in with their six children to live. She started school in Kamsack at grade 6, she later worked at the Kamsack Windmill Bakery and did cleaning after hours at the Kamsack Medical Clinic.
In 1975, she met the love her life, Jim Beck, and were later married on May 6, 1978. They bought a mobile home and moved it out to the family farm, to farm with her loving husband and his parents. They were soon blessed with two children Darryl James in 1980 and Tammy Lynn in 1981. Mary Ann was a stay home mom and raised their two children, helped her husband on the farm and planted a large garden every year. When the children graduated from school in Pelly, she started working with clients in Kamsack and did cleaning for the elders while Jim was working in Kamsack for the Highway Department, then they would both come home and farm.
Mary Ann loved the outdoors; going for long walks at the cabin. She would stop and talk to the neighbor's along the way. She played with the grandkids, especially climbing the big snow banks in the winter and playing with them at the park in the summer. She loved going for jet ski rides, helicopter rides and fishing in the summer. Her fridge door was always covered with pictures that were very precious to her, all happy moments. She enjoyed alone time with Jim and working side by side with him.
She loved family get togethers and taking pictures of the moments, getting phone calls and hearing family and friends voices on the phone. Her favorite sayings were “always think positive” and "associate with the people that make you happy because life is short."
Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband Jim of 47 years, her son Darryl (Jillian) and his two children Taryn and Carter and step-daughter Kylana. Daughter Tammy (Jeffrey), sister Lucille Eiffert, Sylvia (Les) Price, brother Bill (Mary Anne) Glute and sister Pearl Glute and their families.
She is predeceased by her parents, Harry and Pauline Glute, sister Adeline Wosminity, brother Gerry Glute, sister Pat Fisher, brothers in-law Art Eiffert, Kasper Wosminity and Ken Fisher.
