Sarinda Fiddler Obituary

Sarinda “Tweedy’ Fiddler was born to Bill and Mary-Catherine Fiddler on October 1, 1956 at the Kamsack Union Hospital. She passed away peacefully at home on December 17, 2025 at the age of 69.  In her younger years Tweedy attended school at the St.Philips Residential School. Later on in life she moved and lived in Regina, Saskatoon and for a short period in Calgary. Eventually, she returned back home to “up east”, where she lived until her last day.

Tweedy was a strong believer in God and enjoyed reading her bible daily. She liked spending her time outdoors, where you would often find her doing yard work on her tractor, feeding her pet squirrels or just simply sitting on the deck enjoying her find-a-word books. Tweedy had a very unique style of fashion and could pull off any outfit with grace. Her style carried her wild spirit- unapologetic, expressive and alive. She was tough on the edges but soft in her soul. She wore many hats, in the literal way and in all the ways life required of her. Always caring and funny, she held the kind of humour that disarmed heaviness and made room for connection, which will be deeply missed. She always had her door open to her family and never shied away from helping when possible. Tweedy was always available to be an ear to talk to, a shoulder to cry on and always had a laugh to share. The amount of love she expressed is incomparable, from the  welcoming smile on her face to her loving response of “ I love you more” when told I love you.   She truly was one of a kind. Sarinda leaves to mourn her daughter: Caroline “Grouch” Fiddler, who she shared a special bond with, her  Sisters who were her best friends: Francis “Jos” Fiddler and Arlene (Adrian) Whitecap ; Brothers: Richard (Theresa) Fiddler and Jimmy (Linda) Fiddler ; Grandchildren : Sheldon, William, Matthew and Brianna ; Great-Grandchildren : Samantha, Sierra, Kai, Savvnah, Azarayah and her wingman Nemo-Lenus. As well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren of whom she cherished deeply.

She is predeceased by her son : Blaine Fiddler ; parents Mary-Catherine Fiddler and William “Bill’ Fiddler ; Sisters: Norma Uytterhagen, Patricia Musqua, Thoreen Fiddler and Sharon “Bobby” Fiddler ; Brothers: Jake “Arnold” Fiddler and Edward “Chubby” Severight.
