Sheryl Lee “Pete” Cote

June 21, 1956 – May 9, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Koko, sister, aunt, cousin and dear friend Sheryl Lee Cote at the age of 69 on May 9, 2026, in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Pete was born to parents Albert and Irene Cote and was raised on Cote First Nation. She married Laurie and had 4 children and raised many other children, numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Pete was a very dedicated mother and Koko to not only her biological children and grandchildren but took many others under her wing. She respected that they all called her Koko.

Pete played softball with the OG Selects, hockey with the Flying Squaws, and Volleyball in her younger days. She loved being outdoors with family and enjoyed a few rounds of golf with family and friends. She loved to attend and watch the grandchildren excel in sports and always encouraged them. Pete loved to travel with her family and enjoyed watching them experience the world. She loved to play bingo and play casino. She had a very loving heart and never said no to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a good cook and loved being surrounded by family and friends for gatherings.

Sheryl was survived by her children Berni Cote, Jody Cote, and Antoine Cote, her grandchildren Liam, Brenda (Skye), Lonnie (Ricky), Jackson (Lorraine), Joshua, Elijah, Nathaniel, Dallas and Sophia. Her siblings Harvey (Alvina) Cote, Ivan Cote, Roger Cote, Elaine Cote, Shelly (Danny) Whitehawk and Roma Cadotte and by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
