SMANDYCH, Stacy William Vincent Born August 29, 1969 – September 27, 2024 aged 55 years Stacy was born in Saskatoon, Sk on August 29, 1969. He is the eldest of four children born to Don and Selma (nee Harper) Smandych. Stacy went to school in Kamsack, following school he worked with his Dad’s excavating company for over 20 years. After this Stacy and his Dad did floor covering together all across western Canada. Stacy continued his flooring career while living in Airdrie, AB. In 2009, Stacy started a new career path by attaining his 1A driver’s licence. He worked at this in Northern Alberta and then in Saskatchewan until his passing. Whatever the job Stacy tackled, he did it with the precision and pride of an artist. Stacy worked hard to become a master at whatever craft he chose to do. He never shied away from a challenge and he had the courage to master the next challenge he set his and mind and heart on. In 2001, Stacy was blessed with his only son, Branden, Stacy was a proud dad who loved watching his son grow and learn. Stacy enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being outdoors in nature. Stacy loved fast cars and loud music. He was very proud of all the vehicle’s he owned over the years. He has probably taken them all apart and put them back together at least once. And of course they always had to have the loudest stereo! Stacy had an infectious laugh and amazing sense of humour. Even right up to the end, he was making his family laugh. He is survived by his son Branden, his parents Don and Selma, siblings Sheri, Andrea (Simon) and Jeff (Carrie) as well his nephews William, Vincent, and Emmett and his niece Isobella. Stacy will always be remembered by numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Death Ends a Life not A Relationship Celebration of Life was held on October 5, 2024 from the Chapel of Wolkowski Funeral Service, Kamsack, SK. Donations in memory of Stacy may be to Saskatchewan Heart and Stroke Foundation (26-1738 Quebec Ave, Saskatoon SK S7K1V9) as tokens of remembrance.
