Stanley (Stan) Babiuk Obituary

BABIUK, Stanley (Stan) October 11, 1946 – February 20, 2021 aged 74 years.

Stan was born October 11, 1946 on a farm in the Rhein district to Nick and Doris Babiuk. In 1953, the family moved to Kamsack where he attended school. In 1967, he married Beverly Martynuik and within a short period of time they moved to Canora and then Lynn Lake. From there they returned to Kamsack where Stan continued his plumbing career. They were blessed with 3 daughters, Rhonda, Colleen and Tracy.

In April 1987, Stan married his second wife, Anne Elliott. They both had a passion for bowling and could be found every week at Chester’s Bowling Alley. In April 1991, Stan received recognition for a perfect bowling score. His love of golf also led them to manage the Riverside Golf Course. After a battle with cancer, he lost Anne in 2008.  In the following years, he pursued his love of gardening with his neighbour and companion, Mabel Lane. She was very dedicated to his care as he struggled with many health conditions in recent years.

He is predeceased by his parents, Nick and Doris; wife, Anne; siblings, Evelyn and Ron; brothers-in-law, Vic Michalevich, Wayne Grainger, Jake Wall & Gordon Beck; sister-in-law, Liz Babiuk; nephew, Ken Michalevich; niece, Cheryl Richards; great nephew, Kevin Wooldridge.

He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda (Adrian) Fullawka; Colleen Babiuk; Tracy (Bryan) Heshka; stepsons, Clint (Brenda) Rafford; Grant (Victoria) Babiuk; grandchildren, Steven, Dylan, Tanner, Tyler, Hunter, Bronson, Courtlyn, Megan, Teanna, Morgan, Paloma, Charity, Nolan, Preston, Lexie, eight siblings, Mary Michalevich; Flo Grainger; Elmer; Sylvia (Bob) Yaworski; Larry (Linda); Joyce (Don); Gladys (Rick) Vermeulen; Cindy (Lawrence) Slivenski; sister-in-law, Adeline Babiuk; as well as many nieces and nephews.
