Violet Off

Violet (Rever) Off

January 2, 1936 – May 31, 2025

          Violet Off was born on the family farm north of Pelly. She went to school at Maybridge grades 1-4 and to Norquay from grades 4-10. She then helped out at the family farm.

          She married Lawrence Off on July 8, 1954 and kept care of the farmhouse, gardening and raising three kids. She drove school bus from 1963-1969.   

          They moved to Esterhazy in 1969. She worked at the Centennial Care Home in Esterhazy from 1970-1997. They moved back to Pelly in 1997 into Richardson Square Senior Complex then bought a house on First Street.

          She liked to spend her time quilting, crocheting, knitting, doing puzzles, growing garden, cooking and baking.

          She was survived by her sister Ruth, her children Barry(Sharon), Ronald(Shirley) and Ruth, eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.

          She was predeceased by her mom and dad Joseph and Ruby Rever, her sisters Evelyn, Rose and Ethel.

          She will be missed by all and we will have to find someone else to give us advise and goodies. We are thankful she was a good teacher in baking and we can still enjoy her recipes. 

Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 at 10:00 at St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Norquay with Father Andrew Sowa officiating.  Donation in memory of Violet may be made to Pelly Happy Hearts Centre or to Saskatchewan Lung Association.  To leave a note of condolence for the family please visit wolkowski.ca
