Yvonne Denise Miller-Cote was born in Kamsack, Saskatchewan on March 16, 1974 and raised by her mother Debra “Swanny” Cote & father Vincent “Smallman” Quewezance. Yvonne then experienced what we call the 60’s scoop & was in and out of many fosters homes after the passing of both her loving parents. Yvonne lived in Kingston, Ontario for most of her childhood years then rejoined her two younger brothers in the George Gordon FN with the family of Brian & Theresa McNabb where she lived for a period of one year. Yvonne also lived with her Auntie Alice & Uncle Gary Cote for a period time before moving to Manitoba. Yvonne had 3 daughters with the late Micheal Swan of the Lake Manitoba FN. Entering her mid 20’s she looked west & made Vancouver, British Columbia her home & final stop. The family extends a deep appreciation to the staff @ New Beginnings in Vancouver, British Columbia where she resided for the remainder of her living years. Yvonne was full of life and liked to make people laugh and was always so determined in everything she did in life.
Yvonne is survived by her daughters Michelle Cote, Laura Cote & grandchildren. Older sister Arlene Pinay(Cordell), younger brothers Tony Cote(Tara) & Vincent Cote, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & friendships she’s made throughout her life.
