Cassick, Annette – January 4, 1927 – February 18, 2015, aged 88 years passed away peacefully at the Kamsack Hospital with her loving family at her side.

Annette was born to Paul and Dora Kozoswyst in Ukraine. As a little baby, her and the family immigrated to Canada. The family settled in Veregin and later moved to Kamsack.  In the mid 1940’s she met a handsome young man by the name of Mike Cassick. After some courtship, they married September 8, 1946 in Kamsack. In the following years, they would welcome and raise three daughters; Gloria, Donna and Debbie. Mike along with Annette, owned a dry cleaning business and later a men’s clothing store. Annette was the seamstress and worked alongside Mike in the businesses. During their time away from the business they thoroughly enjoyed their time at the cabin at Madge Lake. Spending time with their family and friends. One of Annette’s real passions was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They always brought a smile to her face. Annette also enjoyed baking, and had a fondness for sweets.

Annette is survived by her loving daughters Gloria (David) Werboweski of Innisfail, Ab; Donna (Wally) Sugawara, Debbie (Richard) Rook, both of Kamsack, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one sister; Vicky Benson of Winnipeg and by several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents, husband Mike, brother Mike, and by one sister Helen.
