Gregory Young

   YOUNG, Gregory Neil, November 29, 1982 - April 24, 2018, aged 35 years was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan to Gwen and Neil Young. He grew up in Veregin, Saskatchewan and received his education at Victoria School and later Kamsack Comprehensive Institute. In 1996, at the age of 14, Greg moved to Peterborough, Ontario, and continued his education. While he was there, he fell in love with fishing, camping, swimming, biking and everything outdoors. In 2008, an opportunity arose in Saskatchewan and he found employment at Morris Industries in Yorkton. He later obtained employment at Yorkton Garage Doors and GNB Construction.

   Gregory had a passion for animals and loved his pets – two cats and a poodle. He was an avid reader and loved listening to music. 

   Greg is survived by his loving mother, Gwen and stepfather Guy of Kamsack; his father Neil (Lily) of Peterborough; his brother John (Ashley) and his niece Brenna of Regina; and grandmother Lenora of Kamsack. 

   He was also loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins:

Mother's Side:  Ken (Sherry) and children Kelcey, Kaitlin, Bailey. Richard (Jackie) and children Kirby and Shaelyn.  Garvin (Bonnie). Gord (Marlene) and son Darren.

Father's Side:  Darlene (Bert) and children Tom and Xavier. Murray (Moo) and children Mark, Donna, Roddie, Ryan and Justin. John (Eva). Margaret Rose children Jason and Cecilia. Martina (Eddie) son John Young. Glenda (Dave) daughter Stephanie. Fabian (Wanda). Tom (Stacie) daughter Katie. Gordon and children David, Jenna. Cecilia (Roddy) daughter Laura. Blair son Kevin (Blair Deceased).

   Gregory is predeceased by his maternal grandfather John Harasen, paternal grandparents John Young and Mary England.

   Funeral Service was held Saturday, April 28, 2018 from the Parkland Evangelical Free Church in Kamsack, Saskatchewan with Pastor Stephen Ruten officiating.  Those who so wish may make memorial donations in memory of Gregory to Stars Air Ambulance or Paw and Claws Animal Rescue.  To leave a note of condolence for the family please visit Wolkowski.ca
