Lawrence Fred Cote passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home. Lawrence was a hard worker all of his life, including employment in mines, band manager, Indian Affairs and self employed at his bingo hall. He enjoyed dancing with his wife as a Cote Clogger, coaching and watching his favorite sports - especially the Saskatchewan Rough Riders.
He is predeceased by his wife, Geraldine Cote, parents Madeline and John F. Cote, sons Lorne Ross (Gonga) Cote, Calvin Wayne (Mannie) Cote, grandchildren Charnel Bryant, Celine Whitehawk, brothers Leonard (Boycha) Cote, Alphonse Cote, sister Frances Cote.
Lawrence is survived by his daughters, Edna (Barry) Shingoose, Tilly Cote, Lorraine (Tarski), Cote son Randal Quewezance and very special granddaughter Rachel Shingoose, brother Pat (Liz) Cote, sister Margaret (Girlie) Cote. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Wake Service will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. from Cote Band Hall, Cote First Nation, SK., Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. from Cote Band Hall, Cote First Nation, SK with interment to follow at Old Cote Cemetery, Cote First Nation, SK.
