Sigurdson, Randy, a.k.a. Superman, December 3, 1958 - May 1 2015, aged 56 years. Randy passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife of 18 years, Joanne, in Canora, Saskatchewan from his kryptonite: G.I. cancer. He was a superhero to his grandchildren Bailey, Charles, Bryn, Quinn, and Lincoln. Randy is also survived by his daughters Hilary and Samantha, stepchildren Brad (Ashley) Kiss and Sarah (Dan) Gaignard, his father Harold and stepmother Janice, sisters-in-law Laura (Jeremey) and Robin (Lee), mother-in-law Kay, and many nieces and nephews. Randy was predeceased by his mother Ann who died at the age of 58. His mother was a huge influence in his life by teaching him how to do right by people. He was born in Winnipeg, graduated from University of British Columbia in Pharmacy, and after several moves throughout the western provinces and N.W.T, settled in Canora SK — a town which he adored.

As a pharmacist for 31 years in several cities and towns and finally in Preeceville, he focused all his life to slaying the villains of confusion and complication by helping his clients with their pharmaceutical needs and solving their problems. In Yellowknife his Lois Lane (Joanne) took care of his mistakes, in her job as a mortician. (Actually he didn't make any mistakes but he sure would have liked this joke.)

His family meant everything to him and his grandchildren even more so. He made a career out of helping others, and in his off time Randy also loved camping, ATVing, snowmobiling, boating, and the outdoors. He also loved playing the guitar and took it with him everywhere. He was far too young to be taken from the world and we will miss him greatly.

A very special thank you to the Palliative Care Unit staff in Canora Union Hospital for easing his final week.
