So sorry to hear we lost Randy. I first met Randy in high school at Lord Byng Secondary in Vancouver BC in 1974 in Mrs.'s Beckett's English class. We became great friends. Randy sang in our high school rock band and we had so much fun. Randy got me one of my first jobs driving delivery for Regency Prescriptions at Hycroft in Vancouver. We drove an old Vega and later a Honda Civic for our kind boss James Sharpe and we got to know the city really well. Regency was a wonderful, exemplary business to work for so I was not surprised in the slightest when Randy went into Pharmacy at UBC. Randy was always happy and full of life. He was a highly social and gregarious person with many, many friends. We gradually lost contact over the years but from time to time Randy would still call me to say hi and tell me of his wonderful family. We just held our 40th high school reunion a few weeks back and I had been wondering about Randy only to discover the sad news - he would have had such a blast to see his old friends. My sincere condolences to Randy's family and just to let you all know there are many of us who will never forget him.

As a nurse I had the pleasure of working with Randy since his arrival at Paul's Drugs. What a wonderful, knowledgeable and kind hearted man! Always smiling and put a positive spin on everything; even when he was battling that dreadful cancer! We are so going to miss you! Definately takenfrom us way too soon! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, and Paul's Drugs family too!

We were saddened to read of Randy's passing. My wife and I knew Randy when he first moved to Kitimat as a young and enthusiastic pharmacist. With his beard and long hair he looked like your typical Viking - with a mortar and pestle instead of a broad sword. My memory of Randy is when he offered his assistance in falling a huge cedar tree in our front yard. We had the tree roped to pull in the right direction but as usual things don't always go the way planned. The tree veered off and almost took down the power lines but thankfully missed. We then enjoyed a beer and commiserated the events while watching Superbowl XVII.

It is with a saddened heart to be writing this. Joanne, my Mom just loved you and Randy! You always made her feel welcome. She is at the lodge in Canora now and I know she will be devastated when I let her know of Randy's passing. Our prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family and friends. Stay strong but know that tears are a way of healing so allow yourself that time.
