Pat, my condolences to you and the family. My fondest memories of growing up always included golfing with Mel and grandpa Mike. Even before I was a teen, Mel made me feel like one of the "old guys!" I will always remember Mel as long as I live. I just wanted the family to know how much he meant to me. I will miss him lots. Sorry I could not be at the funeral.

I don't think we have met but understand completely your comments. I too golfed with your Grandpa Mike and curled with him in the local Legion bonspiel. Your Grandpa Mike was a great guy and I think often that my father and your Grandpa Mike are golfing and curling together somewhere. They treated everyone like one of the Old Guys. Take Care.

Condolences on the loss of Mel. Scott and I would certainly have attended the service at the Legion but we were in Alberta at the time. I have thought of you often, and know your memories together will be great comfort for you.
